5-a-side Tournament A message from the Vice President: Well, what a FANtastic day! The feedback has been extremely positive and it would appear that our local edition of the Champions League was thoroughly enjoyed by all clubs. This is testament to the fine spirit and passion of all participating clubs. My thanks and congratulations to you all. Please click here for the official results from the tournament. Interestingly, every club got to taste victory which shows that the tournament was keenly contested and the threat of the dreaded salary cap will not be imposed for next tournament. Once my head and muscles cease aching I will attempt to write and forward an official tournament report – work pending this should be available by the end of next week. Despite Celtic's glorious victory I will try to be as objective as possible. Well... maybe. Should you have an aspiring writer amongst your playing ranks who has been inspired into putting some pros together - please forward them through to me for inclusion. Photos are also welcome. Given the enthusiasm of all clubs "to do this again" I am also tempted to call for a general meeting of interested parties to discuss future editions of the tournament. The timing of this meeting could be late January / early February with a view to organising a tournament for May to tie in with the FA or Champions League Cup Final. One step at a time Sam.....
